Paddy Power Launches Comedic Pundits Series

Featuring sacked Soccer Saturday sports stars Charlie Nicholas, Matt Le Tissier, and Phil Thompson, and forming part of a new Paddy Power marketing and advertising campaign. The show is set to offer a comedic glance into the trio’s Saturday-afternoon lives now since they’re no longer featured on and part of the famous soccer show.
Old Familiar Comforts
A company spokesperson for Paddy Power commented on the new tongue-in-cheek production and said that the sitcom is all about bringing back into the lives of sports lovers and fans three familiar faces who would otherwise not have graced our screens for the first time in many years.
Getting the “gang” back together alongside the Premier League’s return is all about inviting viewers in on the experience of seeing what life is like as the trio continues to co-habit and tries to navigate an all-new world of football in unprecedented new ways, explained said spokesperson. Paddy Power can apparently neither confirm nor deny how in line the show will be with the “truth” added the insider.
Aired In Three Parts
The three-part series will be aired on Saturdays on Paddy Power’s social media channels – with the first instalment set to feature Nicholas, Thompson, and Le Tissier lamenting about their lot after having been booted from Soccer Saturday.
Viewers will get to laugh along as Alan Curbishley anchors a series rather originally titled “Score Saturday” – with said title plastered all over a bedsheet, of course. Using a seriously outdated camcorder, Curbishley will supposedly do whatever he can to help the three man-band get back on their soccer celebrity feet.
The two further instalments will apparently feature the three pundits trying their best to prepare themselves for a brand-new television show opportunity. They will also be seen learning all about the modern world of soccer, and finally, contacting the spirit world for a few useful tips and pointers.
888sport To Launch Own Series
More good news this week – and perhaps news of a more serious variety – is that 888 Holdings’ 888sport has been named the official UK betting partner of the National Football League (NFL) in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
The first-of-its-kind partnership deal also saw to the naming of 888sport as the official betting partner not only of the NFL London games 2021-22, but also of the Super Bowl. 888sport will, according to the terms of the exciting new deal, provide fans and football lovers with a variety of fan-engagement opportunities all throughout the season. These will include the upcoming launch of an all-new weekly social media video series named “The Punt”. The series will according to a statement issued by 888sport, become available for weekly viewing immediately post-launch via 888’s social viewing channels.

The first-of-its-kind deal is according to 888 SVP and Head of B2C Guy Cohen the start of a whole new chapter for 888sport – and a super exciting chapter at that. 888 prides itself on being pioneers of live sporting and fan-engagement experiences, said Cohen, and the operator is as such absolutely delighted to have been awarded the opportunity of linking up with a brand that is internationally adored, namely the National Football League, or NFL.
888sport will in keeping with its side of the sponsorship bargain, support the UK and Ireland NFL by acting as broadcasting sponsor of the Super Bowl, the Playoffs, and also Sunday and Monday Night Football, confirmed Cohen.
