Of course it’s an all round team effort but let’s face it there’s nothing more thrilling that a game changing goal, a superb strike that catches everyone off guard or even a sweetly hit punt that blasts its way into the goalmouth leaving nothing more to do than for the keeper to turn around and pick it out of the net.

Those looking to place a bet or two during the tournament will be able to pick from a whole host of different wagering options. No matter what team you want to place your money on there are bets available on scores, draws, cards, fouls, or even the number of penalties that might occur in the first 90 minutes of a match. The tournament is bound to feature an impressive array of goals and wonder strikes and with so many incredible strikers showcasing all they have to offer it’s certainly an exciting prospect.

So who could be walking away with the celebrated title of golden boot at this years Euro 2016 competition? There’s a whole host of star strikers heading to France and there are players from all across Europe who could potentially end up scoring a nice collection of goals throughout their involvement in the tournament. It’s been 4 years since the last one and there are plenty of fresh faces looking to make their debut in the contest and it’ll be very interesting to see who comes out on top this time around.

Bookies currently have German striker Thomas Müller as favourite topscorer at 7/1. A statistic that is of course based upon the 26-year olds talent for goal scoring as well as taking into account Germany’s chances of proceeding through the competition. But with opportunity aside its Portugal’s Christiano Ronaldo and French star Antoine Griezmann who are right behind Müller at 8/1 and 9/1 respectively.

England’s best hopes of a goal scoring tally, at least according to the bookies and the online sportsbook operators, comes in the form of Spurs front man Harry Kane who is currently sitting at 16/1 odds on to score the most. But it’ll be Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge and Leicester City’s star striker Jamie Vardy who’ll be looking for every chance they have to put together as many goal scoring chances as they can. Both players are currently at 40/1 to win the golden boot title.
