Brighton v Fulham Predictions, Betting Tips and Previews
August 28, 2018
AMEX Stadium - Premier League
Brighton welcome newly promoted Fulham to the south coast this weekend, with Chris Hughton's side aiming for back-back Premier League home wins.
Brighton beat Fulham home and away during the 2016-17 season, when both sides were in the Championship, and they have won their last five meetings against the West London clubs.
Brighton are waiting on late fitness tests on three players ahead of the visit of Brighton, with club captain Bruno, Jose Izquierdo and Florin Andone to be assessed. Key defender Lewis Dunk is already ruled out with an ankle injury.
Fulham have injury concerns of their own ahead of the trip to the AMEX Stadium, with Tom Cairney, Floyd Ayite and Tim Ream all set to be given until the last minute to prove their fitness.
Summer signing Alfie Mawson is back in light training, but he may not be risked just yet.
Brighton v Fulham Preview and Predictions
Brighton won their first home game of the Premier League season against Manchester United, either side of defeats to Watford and Liverpool.
Fulham lost their first two games, against Crystal Palace and Tottenham, before winning their first game back in the top flight, at home to Burnley last weekend.
This game is a tight one to call, as neither side has started the season brilliantly, with Fulham's exciting brand of attacking football against Brighton's greater recent Premier League experience.
With that in mind, a draw - priced at 9/4 - looks to be the best option, with these two sides expected to cancel each other out somewhat.
Both sides possess goal threats in their ranks, with Glenn Murray and Aleksandar Mitrovic both off and running with goals already this season - and a BTTS bet is available at 4/5.
A 1-1 draw at 11/2
Both teams look strong options to remain in the Premier League at the end of the campaign, and they will both be eager not to come away from this game with no points. Fulham are still learning the ropes in the Premier League, and this game will be another step on the road.
Glenn Murray to score first at 4/1
Murray netted the opening goal in the win against Manchester United, and the veteran striker look set for another good campaign. He also has a good scoring record against Fulham, netting the winner against them in the 2016-17 season home game.
