Burnley v Huddersfield Predictions, Betting Tips and Previews
October 02, 2018
Turf Moor - Premier League
Burnley welcome Huddersfield to Turf Moor this weekend, looking to extend their recent run of back-to-back Premier League victories.
Neither side managed a goal in their two meetings last season, as Huddersfield successfully managed to avoid relegation in their debut Premier League campaign.
Burnley could be boosted by the return of Republic of Ireland international Robbie Brady, who has not played in the Premier League this season due to a hamstring injury. However Sean Dyche will still be without James Tarkowski, Ben Gibson and Nick Pope.
Huddersfield are still missing four first team players ahead of the trip to Lancashire, with Ramadan Sobhi, Danny Williams, Ternece Kongolo and Christopher Schindler all missing.
Burnley v Huddersfield Preview and Preview and Predictions
The Clarets have recorded following a horror start to the season, with wins against Bournemouth and Cardiff ahead of this clash, and Dyche will be looking for his side to kick on from those results.
Huddersfield have not won a game so far this season, sitting bottom of the Premier League table on just two points from their first seven games, with David Wagner beginning to feel the pressure.
Burnley know that their home form will be central to their efforts to reach the Europa League spots again, and they should have enough to see off the struggling Terriers, with a home win at 7/6.
Aside from the Bournemouth victory, where they won 4-0, Burnley have not been scoring many goals in recent weeks - with just five in their last four league games - and they will be happy with the points here, regardless of the score line.
With that in mind, an under 2.5 total goals scored bet is available at 8/15.
Burnley to win 2-0 at 17/2
A comfortable home win would further increase confidence in the ranks for Dyche, and it would likely edge his side into the top ten for the firs time this season. The result would pile more misery on to Wagner and his team, but at the moment they look to be spiralling towards the drop zone at an alarming rate.
Sam Vokes to score first at 4/1
Welsh international Vokes got off the mark for the season with the decisive goal in the 2-1 win over Cardiff last weekend, and he looks to to be returning to his best form at the forefront of Burnley's attack.
