Cardiff City v Crystal Palace Predictions, Betting Tips and Previews
April 30, 2019
Cardiff City Stadium - Premier League
Cardiff face a relegation decider this weekend as they welcome Crystal Palace to South Wales in a crunch clash for Neil Warnock's side.
The reverse fixture between these two sides ended in a draw earlier this season, and Palace have won their last three meetings with the Bluebirds - with Cardiff failing to even register a goal.
Warnock will wait of the results of late fitness tests on Harry Arter, Kenneth Zohore and Aron Gunnarsson before deciding on his line up. Sol Bamba, Callum Paterson, Matt Connolly and Joe Ralls are already ruled out for the hosts.
Roy Hodgson has no fresh injury news ahead of the trip to the Welsh capital, with Jeff Schlupp, James Tomkins and Mamadou Sakho all still out.
Cardiff City v Crystal Palace Preview and Predictions
This is a must win game for Cardiff, as their poor goal difference means they cannot take the relegation battle to the last without a win in this one. If Brighton win at Arsenal 24 hours later then Warnock's side will be down anyway, however he will be hopeful he can stretch it to Game Week 38.
Palace are already safe from the drop, and have been for a few weeks now, however Hodgson has kept his players focused despite their position. They have picked up seven points from the last available ten in league action, but they will face a particularly fired up Cardiff side this weekend.
With everything on the line for Warnock and his side here, they should win and drag the drama on another week - with a home win at 7/4. No one expects this game to be a goal fest, with Cardiff only managing three goals in their last seven games, but Warnock will be happy with just one, if it means all three points. With that in mind, an under 2.5 total goals scored bet is available at 13/10.
Cardiff City to win 1-0 at 8/1
Warnock will not need to give his players any extra motivation ahead of this weekend, as they know a win could mean a step towards Premier League survival. With Brighton not fancied to win at Arsenal, that would mean a final day show down at Old Trafford.
Victor Camarasa to score anytime at 13/5
The Spaniard is Cardiff's top scorer this season, with five Premier League goals from midfield and of the four goals Cardiff have scored since the start of March, he has scored two of them.
