Chelsea v Arsenal Preview and Predictions
Chelsea looked to be clicking into gear with a convincing performance against Huddersfield, with summer signing Jorginho getting a debut goal. Sarri will be demanding of his side, and the early season test of Arsenal will be an interesting assessment of where they are under the Italian.
Fellow new boss Emery will be disappointed with Arsenal's performance against the defending Premier League champions, and he could well ring the changes. in the hope of generating a response from his players. Mesut Ozil, Henrikh Mkhiaryan, Aaron Ramsey and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang all looked way off the pace and the former PSG coach will be unrelenting in his push for reaction.
Chelsea will take some time to adjust to Sarri's methods, and Arsenal will do likewise under Emery, so the sensible option here looks to be a draw - priced at 3/1.
Based on last season's constant drawing and low key games, this one is unlikely to be a thriller, with a solid performance the key for both managers at this stage, and with that in mind, an under 2.5 total goals bet is at 4/5.
A 1-1 draw at 7/1
Both sides struggled to break each other down last season, and Chelsea do not seem to have the same hoodoo over Arsenal as they have in season gone by. Also with a number of players still feeling their way back to full fitness, it will not be the spectacle it could be mid season.
Eden Hazard to score first at 5/1
Hazard scored twice in four appearances against The Gunners last season, and he has five goals against them during his Chelsea career. He will return this weekend, and crucially he should be back on set piece duty for the home side.
