Chelsea v Manchester United Preview and Preview and Predictions
Chelsea are on a strong run of domestic form following back to back losses to Manchester City and Crystal Palace, winning three games in a row in League and Cup action. However their European form has undermined this, with a draw and a defeat to Roma either side of that run.
United are excelling in Europe, with back to back wins over Benfica virtually ensuring their progress into proved the last 16 of the Champions League, however defeat to Huddersfield and a draw against Liverpool has to be a black mark against their league form recently.
With what is at stake neither side will really want to go for this one, and given Mourinho's preference for defensive tactics against the big sides, another draw between these two sides looks to be a good option - priced at 11/5.
Despite the attacking talent on display for both sides, a cagey affair is expected, with Mourinho determined not to lose to against his old employers again, and an under 2.5 goals bet looks likely - priced at 8/13.
A 1-1 draw at 11/2
Neither side can really afford to lose this game due the damage it can do to their title push credentials, and the form of leaders Manchester City in recent weeks. Mourinho will be cagey and defensive and Conte will not want to see his side make the same defensive errors they did in Italy, and may look to stiffen his defence with the addition of another defender.
Alvaro Morata to score first at 4/1
Spanish international Morata has been excellent for Chelsea following his summer move from Real Madrid, netting six Premier League goals so far this season. His pace and aerial power will be a threat to a United defence that has performed well in recent weeks, without being overly tested by Liverpool and a Harry Kane-less Tottenham.
