Everton v Chelsea Preview and Predictions
Everton's form following the appointment of Allardyce as manager has been excellent, unbeaten so far in all competitions, including wins over Huddersfield, Newcastle and Swansea and a draw against rivals Liverpool.
Saturday's game will be his biggest test so far, with Chelsea heading to Goodison Park having lost just one Premier League game since October and currently on a run of two wins in a row.
Given Everton's recent run of form they will be full of confidence, but Chelsea are a different proposition to what they have faced so far under Allardyce.
With that in mind a draw on Saturday lunchtime looks to be a sensible option, currently priced at 3/1.
Allardyce is likely to adopt a slightyl more conservative approach against the defending champions, similar to his tactics against Liverpool, and look to retain Chelsea and pose a threat on the counter attack.
An under 2.5 goals bet looks to be a strong option in this one, as despite Chelsea's strong attack, Everton look far more resilient in recent games - this is currently priced at 4/5.
A 1-1 draw at 13/2
Everton are on a strong run at the moment, and they will be determined to keep that going on Saturday as they host Conte's side. Allardyce's tactics in the Merseyside derby proved that he can change things up where necessary and Chelsea are far from as convincing as they were last season in terms of full consistency in big games.
Eden Hazard to score anytime at 5/4
Belgian forward Hazard has been a shining light for Chelsea this season, with nine goals in all competitions so far this season. His pace and ability to run at defenders could be a real issue for Everton on Saturday, as despite their improvements at the back they did experience similar difficulties with Mo Salaha and Sadio Mane.
