Huddersfield v Newcastle Predictions and Preview

David Wagner's Terriers almost held on for a valuable point in their clash with The Gunners, before being undone by a late goal. That loss means it is three successive defeats for the West Yorkshire side, as hey prepare to welcome Rafa Benitez's team this weekend.

Newcastle also loss via a latte goal in their last match, at home to Wolves, but their form is showing signs of improvement following a poor start to the season, with three wins in their last six Premier League games.

However with his clash expected to be fairly high pressure for both managers, with the added pressure of a reported club takeover on Benitez's mind, the safest option here looks to be a draw, priced at 21/10.

Neither side have been flush with goals in recent weeks, given their respective runs of form, with Wagner's side scoring six goals in their last six games and The Magpies netting seven.

With that in mind ahead of this clash, an low key and under 2.5 total goals scored bet looks to be an interesting choice, available at 8/15.

Recommended Bets

A 1-1 draw at 11/2

Both sides are approaching the mid point of the season knowing that results are increasingly all that matters, and with the relegation battle still fairly wide open, they need to pick up points against the sides in and around them in the coming weeks and months.

Salomon Rondon to score anytime at 5/2

The Venezuelan striker is enjoying his loan spell with Newcastle, netting three goals in his last five games, as Benitez's begins to place more faith in him as a starter. His hold up play has also contributed significantly to the Tynesiders in recent weeks, and he will be a handful for the Huddersfield defence.
