Huddersfield v West Ham Predictions, Betting Tips and Previews
November 06, 2018
John Smith's Stadium - Premier League
Struggling Huddersfield welcome West Ham to Yorkshire this weekend, with David Wagner's side looking to continue their battle against the drop.
West Ham won home and away against Huddersfield last season, in The Terriers debut campaign in the Premier League. Manuel Pellegrini's side finished with an aggregate score of 6-1 over their opponents.
Huddersfield have no fresh injury worries ahead of the visit of West Ham, with defender Erik Durm and Danny Williams both still sidelined through injury.
West Ham are still without skipper Mark Noble, as he serves the last game of a three match ban for The Hammers. Jack Wilshere and Andy Carroll are both back in light training, but are some way off a first team return.
Huddersfield v West Ham Predictions and Preview
Huddersfield picked up their first Premier League win of the season, against Fulham on Monday night, and Wagner will be hoping that can kick start their season.
Up until then, his side had collected just three points all season, and they still find themselves mired in a relegation battle, even at this early stage.
West Ham were impressive in beating Burnley 4-2 last weekend, ending a run of three games without a win for Pellegrini's side, and moving them up to 8th in the table.
However the win over Fulham has changed things for Huddersfield ahead of this clash, and they are likely to battle even harder, and given West Ham's patchy recent form, a draw looks to be the best option here - priced at 23/10.
Even though they have been in poor form this season, Huddersfield do not concede many goals at home, letting in just seven in six home matches - and an under 2.5 total goals scored bet is at 4/6.
A 1-1 draw at 11/2
Huddersfield have not yet turned a corner in their battle to avoid falling out of the top flight, but the win over Fulham was a huge step in the right direction. West Ham will be a big test, but the visitors have struggled on the road this season, with one win in five away games.
Marko Arnautovic to score first at 9/2
Austrian international Arnautovic is West Ham's top scorer so far this season, with five Premier League goals so far. He netted the opener against Burnley last weekend, to end a three game run of no goals, and he looks to be getting back up to full flow following an injury.
