Leicester City v Arsenal Predictions, Betting Tips and Previews
April 25, 2019
King Power Stadium - Premier League
Champions League chasing Arsenal head to Leicester this weekend, looking to get their top four push back on track with three Premier League games left.
Arsenal beat the Foxes 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium earlier in the campaign, with two goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and one from Mesut Ozil sealing the win.
Leicester did beat the Gunners at home last season, and are unbeaten in their last two games against them at home.
Leicester skipper Wes Morgan missed the draw at West Ham last weekend due to personal reasons, however he is expected to be back in the squad for the visit of Unai Emery's side.
Aubameyang missed Arsenal midweek defeat at Wolves after undergoing surgery on a blocked sinus, and he is rated as doubtful for the weekend. Aaron Ramsey is still out, and could miss the rest of the season with a thigh injury - with Rob Holding, Danny Welbeck. Hector Bellerin and Denis Suarez out until 2019-20.
Leicester City v Arsenal Predictions and Preview
Brendan Rodgers' side had to settle for a point at rivals West Ham last weekend, as they look to push on in the race for the last Europa League spot. The Foxes are now three points behind current seventh pace side Wolves, and they need a positive result in this game to stand a chance of challenging in the coming weeks.
Arsenal's form has dipped dramatically in recent weeks, with back to back defeats against Crystal Palace and Wolves knocking them out off the top four. They are now a point behind Chelsea in the battle for Champions League football for 2019-20 and are under even more pressure than Rodgers' side.
Given the stakes at play here, it is a tough one to call, but with Arsenal effectively out of the top four if they do not win, an away victory, at 7/4 could be the way to go. Defensively, Arsenal have struggled of late, conceding six goals in their last two games and with that in mind, a BTTS bet comes in at 4/9.
Arsenal to win 2-1 at 10/1
Emery's side have to find a way to getting back on the winning trail, if there are to try and overhaul Chelsea in the last weeks of the season and that starts this weekend. A victory could lift them back into the top four if Maurizio Sarri's side fail to win at Old Trafford later on Sunday.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to score anytime at 5/6
Arsenal need the Gabonese international back in the side for the trip to the East Midlands, and with two goals in his last three appearances he is the best goal scoring option. A goal at the weekend would also see him hit 20 league goals in England for the first time.
