March 26, 2019
Anfield - Premier League
Jurgen Klopp's Premier League leaders face Tottenham at Anfield in what could be a definitive tie in Liverpool's 2018-19 title race.
Liverpool won 2-1 away at Wembley Stadium in Premier League action back in September 2018, with Georgino Wijnaldum and Roberto Firmino on target for Klopp's side.
Liverpool are unbeaten in their last eight meetings against Spurs at Anfield.
Full backs Andrew Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold should both be fit to start, with teeth and back injuries respectively. Robertson was able to play for Scotland in midweek, while Alexander-Arnold missed both of England's games in midweek. Midfielder Naby Keita is also in line to return, with Swiss international Xherdan Shaqiri rated as doubtful, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Joe Gomez still sidelined.
Harry Winks should be fit to return for Mauricio Pochettino's side, although Eric Dier has been ruled out after picking up a thigh injury on international duty with England,
Liverpool v Tottenham Preview and Predictions
Liverpool are top of the Premier League pile as it stands, although they will be expecting to be back down to second before kick off, with Manchester City expected to win their game in hand at Fulham. Nothing but a win will be good enough for the home side if they are to keep pace with City in the final weeks of the season, and Klopp will be well aware of that.
Spurs' form has dropped off dramatically in recent weeks, with three losses and a draw in their last four Premier League games ahead of the trip to Anfield. Pochettino's side should still be safe for a top four finish, but they will be concerned by the improving form of rivals Arsenal and Manchester United.
With an almost win of bus scenario for Klopp's side for each side between now and the end of the season, they should have enough drive to pick up all three points - with a home win priced at 3/5. The Reds have scored 12 goals in their last three home games, and they show little sign of slowing down as the season nears its end, with a Liverpool to score both halves bet available at 13/10.
Liverpool to win 2-1 at 8/1
A win in this game ensures that Liverpool remain in the title race and prevent Pep Guardiola's City side moving ahead of them, with seven league games remaining. Spurs look to have taken their eye off the ball of late, and they will be focused on the Champions League.
Sadio Mane to score anytime at 21/20
The Senegalese international has been the key man for Liverpool in recent weeks, with vital goals in domestic and European games in 2019. The former Southampton striker has five goals in his last three games for Liverpool, and he will need to keep that form going if Liverpool want to end their 29 year wait for a league title.
