Manchester City v Feyenoord, Predictions, Betting Tips and Previews
November 20, 2017
Etihad Stadium - Champions League
Manchester City are already through to the next stage of the Champions League while Feyenoord can’t finish in the top two. The hosts are scorching-hot favourites, with a big win expected.
City were 2-0 up in 10 minutes as they deflated Feyenoord’s passionate support in Rotterdam in the reverse fixture two months ago, the Citizens going on to stroll to a 4-0 victory at the De Kuip stadium.
City will be missing John Stones who scored twice in the earlier meeting between the clubs but Stones is hardly City’s biggest goal threat so that will give Feyenoord little comfort.
City have a 100% Champions League record so far and will look to maintain that, but are likely to be careful with Vincent Kompany and Sergio Aguero.
Feyenoord are struggling in the Eredivisie, 12 points adrift of leaders PSV Eindhoven. They will know they have a demanding night ahead and are hoping to have defender Sven van Beek fit to play but they are missing midfielder Karim El Ahmadi, who serves a one match suspension
Manchester City v Feyenoord Preview and Predictions
Currently playing some of the best football in the history of the Premier League and come in at 1/10 to win this game. Feyenoord are 33/1 to spring a surprise with odds on the draw being 27/2.
City can be backed to win 4-0 at 17/2, 3-0 at 15/2 or 5/1 at 35/2. A mark of how sizzling hot City are is that you can get shorter odds on City winning 8-0 than for Feyenoord to win 1-0.
City are 90/1 to win 8-0 but you can get 100/1 on the only goal of the game going to Feyenoord.
Already sure of qualification City will win the group if they win and Shaktar fail to beat Napoli. They will also be confirmed as group winners with a draw if Shaktar lose. Feyenoord still cling to the hope of finishing third and progressing into the Europa League so they have something to play for. They must get at least as good a result as Napoli to maintain a glimmer of a hope in the group.
Feyenoord’s best hope is that City are complacent and do not work as hard as Pep Guardiola will demand. Even if the City supremo rotates his squad and rests some of his big hitters anyone who comes into the City side will be top quality and hungry to show what they can do.
City to win 5-0 at 12/1
It is likely to be a big City win and these are good odds for a perfectly possible scoreline.
Kevin de Bruyne to be an anytime goal-scorer at 17/10
With so many likely scorers, predicting a first goal-scorer in a City game is difficult but these are good odds for the brilliant Belgian to score at anytime.
