Manchester City v West Ham Predictions, Betting Tips and Previews
November 30, 2017
Etihad Stadium - Premier League
Manchester City are leading the way in the Premier League this season, and they will show little mercy against struggling West Ham on Sunday.
Manchester City beat West Ham by an aggregate score of 12-1 last season, across three game sin all competitions, in an ominous sign for the Hammers trip to Manchester this weekend.
David Moyes' side have not beaten Manchester City since 2015, via a 2-1 win at the Etihad Stadium.
The biggest doubt for Pep Guardiola's City side is Leroy Sane, who is recovering from a bout of illness and may not be fit in time for Sunday's clash. Defensive pair John Stones and Bernard Mendy are both sidelined until the new year with hamstring and knee injuries respectively.
The Hammers will be without Winston Reid, who has a hamstring injury, and he joins fellow defender and hamstring victim James Collins on the sidelines. Striker Andy Carroll is also out of action with a knee problem, and he joins Javier Hernandez, Jose Fonte and Sam Byram in the treatment table.
Manchester City v West Ham Preview and Predictions
Manchester City are unbeaten in all competitions, only failing to score once all season, and they should make short work of West Ham, who are really struggling in recent weeks, without a win in five games.
A home win is almost a virtual certainty in this game, and it is suitably priced at 1/9, reflecting their dominance and the issues that Moyes is battling against at the London Stadium.
Given the fire power available to Guardiola this has the potential to be a real goal fest, and an over 3.5 goals bet does not look beyond realistic in this game and it is currently priced at 8/1
Manchester City to win 5-0 at 11/1
City have been sensational this season, particularly at home, beating Liverpool 5-0, Crystal Palace 5-0 and Stoke City 7-2, as they march towards the Premier League title. Defensively there are real issues with West Ham currently, and up against Sergio Aguero, Gabriel Jesus, David Silva and Kevin De Bruyne they could be in for a long afternoon.
Aguero to score 2+ goals at 13/10
Argentina international Aguero has been banging the goals this season, with nine goals in the Premier League so far and he will be a real threat to a slow and disorganised West Ham defence. Alongside Jesus, Silva, De Bruyne and possibly Sane, he will be ruthless in front of his home fans.
