Mark Hughes’ Stoke host Hull on Saturday afternoon, with the Tigers hoping to capitalise on a dreadful run of recent form for the Potters.
Stoke doess possess a good record in this fixture, a bonus for them given their recent form, with five Premier League wins, compared to two Hull wins and three draws.
Stoke are facing something a midfield crisis ahead of the visit of Hull, with Joe Allen and Charlie Adam both set to miss out through injury.
Both players withdrawn in the weekend defeat to Liverpool, Allen with a hamstring strain and Adam with knee problem.
If they both miss out, there places are likely to be taken by Glenn Whelan and Ramadan Sobhi.
Key defender Harry Maguire facing a race against time to recover from a knee injury, and could miss out.
He was taken off injured against Middlesbrough on April 5th and missed the weekend loss at Manchester City, he is likely to replaced by Michael Dawson if he is unfit to start.
Diermurci Mbokani is also rated at 50/50, as he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury.
Stoke City v Hull City Previews and Predictions
Stoke’s form in recent weeks has been awful, losing their last four Premier League games and with just two wins in their last 11 games.
Confidence is clearly low within the home team at the moment, with Liverpool’s comeback win a real demonstration of their struggles of late.
However their Premier League safety is essentially assured due to their form earlier in 2017, meaning they have little more than pride to play form in this one.
Hull on the other hand are in relatively good form and are far from certain to be playing Premier League football next season.
Marco Silva’s side have won three of their last five games, against fellow releagtion threatened Middlesbrough, West Ham and Swansea, and that gives them a real edge.
Hull are desperate for points and that could see them pinch a valuable win, priced at 14/5 to pick up all three points. It is likely to be a tense affair, with neither side throwing caution to the wind, and an Under 2.5 Goals bet is piced at 4/6.
Hull City to win 1-0 11/1
Hull are scrapping for their lives and need to keep their good run going if they are to survive in the Premier League for next season. A win on Saturday could go a log way to achieving that.
Draw at Half Time and Hull To Win at Full Time 15/2
Hull have benefited from a number of late goals in recent weeks, and they will be looking for a late goal if Stoke are shutting them out.
