Swansea City v Bournemouth Predictions, Betting Tips and Previews
November 21, 2017
Liberty Stadium - Premier League
Swansea welcome Bournemouth to South Wales this weekend, with the Swans hoping to end an awful recent run of Premier League form.
Bournemouth are unbeaten in all of their four Premier League meetings with Swansea, including a 2-0 home win and a 3-0 win in Wales last season, with Benik Afobe on target in both gmaes.
Swansea's only point against The Cherries came back in the 2015-16 season, courtesy of a 2-2 draw at the Liberty Stadium.
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has a number of selection issues ahead of the trip to Swansea, with Junior Stanislas the main concern.
The former West Ham forward faces a late fitness test on a groin injury, before Howe confirms his line up. Fellow attacker Jordon Ibe is out with an ankle injury, and he joins long term absentees Brad Smith, Tyrone Mings and Adam Federici on the sidelines.
Defender Simon Francis is suspended and serving a one match ban following his red card against Huddersfield last weekend.
Swansea also have a major injury doubt, over star striker Tammy Abraham, who will also undergo a fitness test this week after suffering from back spasms in training.
Defender Kyle Bartley is out until December with a long term knee problem.
Swansea City v Bournemouth Preview and Predictions
Swansea's recent form has been nothing short of awful, losing their last five Premier League games, and six in all competitions, as part of a nine game run that has seen just one win.
Paul Clement is under real pressure to turn things around and avoid a scrap against relegation, similar to that of last season, but the signs are not looking good for the former Derby County boss.
Bournemouth, on the other hand, have stabilised themselves very well in recent weeks, losing just one (v Chelsea) of their last four Premier League games, including wins at Newcastle and Stoke City.
This gives The Cherries a real edge ahead of Saturday's meeting, and they should have enough to secure a win - currently priced at 15/8.
It is unlikely to be a classic encounter, given Swansea's low confidence and poor form, and most of Bournemouth's recent good results have come via narrow wins.
With that in mind an under 2.5 goals bet looks to be a good option for this game - priced at 4/6.
Bournemouth to win 1-0 at 15/2
Swansea are really struggling, and Clement could the next Premier League managerial casualty, and they do not look to have to break down an improving Bournemouth - particularly if Abraham is ruled out. Howe's Bournemouth have proved to be much more solid in recent weeks, picking up points away from home as a real bonus.
Callum Wilson to score first at 9/2
Wilson returned from injury with a bang in last weekend's 4-0 win over Huddersfield, netting an impressive hat trick along the way. He is now Bournemouth's top scorer so far this season, and full of confidence he will be a real menace to a Swansea defence that has not kept a clean sheet since mid-October.
