Swansea v West Ham Predictions, Betting Tips and Previews
February 27, 2018
Liberty Stadium - Premier League
Swansea host West Ham this weekend, with the Welsh side hoping to continue their impressive revival and relegation fight under Carlos Carvalhal.
West Ham beat Swansea at the London Stadium earlier this season, with a last minute goal from Diafra Sakho sealing a 1-0 win or the Hammers.
Swansea's last win against West Ham came back in 2016, with a 4-1 win at Upton Park.
Veteran midfielder Leon Britton is back in action for Swansea, but Carvalhal may opt to use him as a substitute this weekend. Leroy Fer and Wilfried Bony are out for the remainder of the season, Angel Rangel and Renato Sanches should both be back at the end of the month.
January signing Patrice Evra is a doubt for West Ham after picking up an ankle injury on his debut against Liverpool. Midfield pair Edmilson Fernandes and Pedro Obiang are both out for the season, but striker Andy Carroll could be back in April.
Swansea City v West Ham Preview and Predictions
Swansea have been impressive following the arrival of former Sheffield Wednesday boss Carvalhal, making areal fist of avoiding the drop, and they face West Ham having lost just one of their last six Premier League games.
West Ham have also benefited from a new boss this season, in the shape of David Moyes, and their relegation fears look to be completely gone as we approach the season's final straight.
Swansea have more to play for in this game, with relegation still a real option for the Welsh side, and they should have enough to win this one - with a home win priced at 4/5.
Goals continue to be an issue for Swansea, with just seven scored in their last five Premier League games and West Ham scoring four games in the same run. An under 2.5 goals bet is priced at 8/13.
Swansea City to win 2-0 at 11/1
If Swansea are to avoid the drop they need to win the games against the sides close to them in the table, particularly at home, and Carvalhal's side have shown enough to suggest that they can recover from last weekend's loss to Brighton.
Tammy Abraham to score first at 4/1
Abraham has played a huge role for Swansea this season following his season long loan from Chelsea, scoring four Premier League goals so far. He has struggled with injury since Carvalhal has come into the club, but he looks set to get back amongst the goals before the end of the season.
