Tottenham v Manchester City Predictions, Betting Tips and Previews
October 25, 2018
Wembley Stadium - Premier League
Defending Premier League champions Manchester City head to Tottenham Hotspur on Monday night in what promises to be a cracking game.
Past Meetings
Manchester City won home and away against Spurs last season, with a 3-1 win in London, following a 4-1 victory at the Etihad Stadium for Pep Guardiola's side.
Team News
Tottenham will wait until the last minute to make a decision on England international pair Dele Alli and Danny Rose, who missed their last game with minor injuries. But Jan Vertonghen and Vincent Janssen remain long term absentees.
City have no fresh injury concerns ahead of the trip to Wembley Stadium, with Eliaquim Mangala, Danilo, Claudio Bravo and Ilkay Gundogan all still sidelined.
Tottenham v Manchester City Preview and Predictions
City head into this game unbeaten in domestic action this season, with draws against Wolves and Liverpool the only Premier League games they have dropped points in so far, with goal difference keeping them ahead of Jurgen Klopp's side at the top of the table.
Spurs looked shaky in midweek as they drew against PSV in the Champions League, with captain Hugo Lloris sent off. In Premier League action, they have recovered from a poor start to win their last four games ahead of the visit of City on Monday night.
However despite their improvements, City look in irresistible form at the moment, and Guardiola knows that they need to beat their rivals in these crunch games, and an away win comes in at 7/10.
Spurs will cause City problems, as they did in the two games last season, and give the attacking options available to Mauricio Pochettino, they should get on the score sheet - with a BTTS bet available at 8/15 .
Recommended Bets
Manchester City to win 2-1 at 7/1
City will likely head into these game three points behind Liverpool, should they win at home to Cardiff on Saturday, and that will be added motivation for Guardiola and his players to make sure they get the result needed to haul themselves back to the top.
Sergio Aguero to score first at 10/3
Argentina international Aguero is in great form at the moment, scoring three goals in his last four appearances in all competitions for City, and he will be looking to continue that form against Spurs.
