West Brom v Leicester Predictions, Betting Tips and Previews
March 06, 2018
The Hawthorns - Premier League
Premier League basement club West Brom host Leicester City this weekend, with Alan Pardew's side desperate for a positive result.
This game ended in a 1-1 draw earlier this season, when the pair met at the King Power Stadium - with Riyad Mahrez and Nacer Chadli on target.
West Brom have won just one of their last six meetings with the Foxes, and their last home victory came back in 2010.
West Brom will hope to have Gareth Barry fit for this key game, after he has been absent for a week through injury. However their is less positive news on Daniel Sturridge, James Morrison and Nacer Chadli - who are all ruled out.
Leicester are likely to be without defender Daniel Amartey, who was withdrawn injured in their draw against Bournemouth last weekend, with Danny Simpson set to return to the starting XI in his place.
Striker Shinji Okazaki could also come into the squad after he recovered from an ankle injury.
West Brom v Leicester City Preview and Predictions
West Brom are in dire form at the moment, with Pardew's side losing their last six games in league and cup action, and they are without a Premier League win since January 13th. That run of form sees them bottom of the league and eight points adrift of safety ahead of this weekend's game.
Leicester seccured a dramtic late draw at home to Bournemouth last time out, and Claude Puel's have lost just once in their last five games - against runaway leaders Manchester City.
A positive result is vital for West Brom as they battle against the drop, however Leicester look to be too strong for them, particularly as the Foxes are chasing a Europa League spot, and an away win is priced at 6/4.
This is unlikely to be a classic, even the Baggies poor form and Leicester desire for points over style in recent weeks, and an under 2,5 goals bet looks to be a good choice in this one - priced at 4/6.
Leicester to win 2-0 at 12/1
The Foxes look likely to chase Burnley for the final Europa League spot for next season, and they will need a win here to keep the pressure on Sean Dyche's side. IN attack tey should have to much for a beleaguered West Brom side that could be relegated by April.
Jamie Vardy to score first at 4/1
Vardy continues to be crucial for Leicester, alongside Mahrez, with 13 Premier League goals so far this season. He has also scored five goals in his last seven games ahead of the trip to the West Midlands this weekend.
