West Ham v Liverpool Predictions, Betting Tips and Previews
November 03, 2017
London Stadium - Premier League
Liverpool travel to London for the late kick off on Saturday evening, where a win for Jurgen Klopp's side will increase the pressure on Slaven Bilic
Bilic will be hoping his side can draw on the Hammers previous results against Liverpool, with the Londoners losing just once in their last six meetings in all competitions against Klopp's side.
They successfully knocked Liverpool out of the FA Cup in 2015-16, and secured a 2-2 draw at Anfield. However the most recent match up between them ended in a 4-0 Liverpool victory at the London Stadium.
Klopp has a growing injury list to contend with ahead of the trip to the capital, and he may be forced to make a number of changes to his starting line up for Saturday.
Midfielder Gigi Wijnaldum suffered an ankle injury in Liverpool's 3-0 Champions League win over NK Maribor on Wednesday night and he is likely to miss out for the weekend.
Dejan Lovren and Philippe Coutinho are back in training following thigh and hip injuries respectively, but match fitness could be an issue for both players, and Klopp will make a decision on Saturday.
West Ham will be boosted by the return from suspension of striker Andy Carroll, however they have a number of defensive issues.
Jose Fonte and Aaron Creswell are both back in training following foot and ankle injuries, but both face late fitness tests ahead of Saturday's game.
Michail Antonio and Winston Reid are both unavailable through rib and calf injuries, and James Collins is two weeks away from a return due to an ongoing ankle problem.
West Ham v Liverpool Preview and Predicitons
West Ham are struggling in the Premier League at the moment, without a win in their last three games, with an ELF Cup win over Tottenham sandwiched in between. Bilic's position is under real threat, particularly after the Hammers inability to hold onto a lead against Crystal Palace last weekend, conceding a late equaliser in a 2-2 draw.
Liverpool has lost just once - to Tottenham - in their last five Premier League games, winning at Huddersfield and beating NK Maribor home and away in the Champions League.
Klopp's side are on something of a roll, with Bilic's charges heading in the opposite direction, and an away win looks likely on Saturday evening - priced at 4/1.
Neither side are excelling defensively at the moment, and despite keeping clean sheets against NK Maribor, Huddersfield and Manchester United - Liverpool have still conceded seven goals in their last five Premier League games.
West Ham have also had issues at the back, mad worse by their injury situation, conceding nine goals in their last five League matches - making an over 2.5 goals bet look like a good option in this one, currently priced at 8/13.
Liverpool to win 3-1 at 12/1
Klopp looks to have his side in a good run of form at the moment, although defensive issues still remain, they should have enough to see off a struggling West Ham side that could see the end of Bilic's time in East London.
Roberto Firmino to score first at 4/1
Brazilian international Firmino has rediscovered his scoring touch in recent games, scoring two goals in his last four appearances as Liverpool got back to winning ways. With Mo Salah, and Philippe Coutinho - if fit- alongside him he should have plenty of chances to get on the score sheet on Saturday evening.
